How we score electric bikes
Ecofffersbike is an independent, editorially-run e-bike comparison site. We don't manufacture or sell bikes — we build a normalized spec database from Amazon listings and manufacturer pages, then score every bike the same way so you can compare apples to apples.
Our process
1. Collect the spec sheet
We pull every published spec from the Amazon listing — motor, battery, weight, brakes, suspension — and fill any gap from the manufacturer's own product page. A spec we can't confirm anywhere shows as a dash, never a guess.
2. Score six dimensions
Range, power, comfort, sportiness, ease of use and value are each scored 0-10, computed from the underlying specs relative to every other bike in the same category — recalculated every time the catalog changes.
3. Write the review
Our editorial text — pros, cons, who it's for — is grounded in the spec sheet and the buyer reviews visible on the Amazon listing at the time we captured it, summarized honestly rather than dressed up.
